The LP Questionnaire/Pick Three - David Tattersall of The Wave Pictures

So, I read the review The Wave Pictures put on their SXSW page and it talks about how they're the kind of band you'd send your underthings to... and while I don't do that sort of thing I agree, they're pretty endearing.
Singer David Tattersall hails from Wymeswold, England.
He's a big Daniel Johnston fan.
In his opinion the best cure of a hangover is "a fry up with tea."
The scene at Latitude 30 is kinda groovy so I think you'll have a fine time if you head on down there for The Wave Pictures at midnight tonight. They're followed by fellow Moshi Moshi band Slow Club.

The LP Questionnaire
Name: David Tattersall
1. Pretend you’re 15. Name three songs you'd put on a mix tape for your girlfriend/boyfriend.
"Vomit Express," Allen Ginsberg
"Going Up The Country," Canned Heat
"She Smiled Sweetly," The Rolling Stones
2. Which evil villain would make the best President? Bluto (from Popeye the sailor man)
3. What was your favorite cartoon as a child? Popeye
4. What superpower do you wish you had? Flight
5. What would the title of your autobiography be? I don't know. I don't intend on ever writing one. How about David Tattersall: The Autobiography?
Pick Three
I haven't really thought about it at all, so I'm not particularly looking forward to seeing anyone. I had a scroll through the list of names and I wondered whether Wanda Jackson was THE Wanda Jackson, the Rock and Roll singer of the fifties who went country. That could be good. I suppose it might be amusing to watch Motörhead for a bit. Billy Bragg has written some nice songs in his time, too, so maybe I would watch him? Also, Suzanne Vega has a nice voice so I might watch her even though I don't like her songs very much. I have to admit, I haven't heard of most of the acts you are having on, so I'm looking forward to hearing something new to me, rather than looking forward to anyone in particular.
And that's all she wrote for this year's round of LPQ's/Pick Threes. I'll be back in a bit with a Saturday night P3. In the meantime if you want to browse all the goodies, you can do so here. Or you can peep the handy dandy master list.
