When hunger sneaks up on you, your hotel’s restaurant can be the most satisfying and convenient dining option whether it’s the Hyatt’s Marker 10 or the Roaring Fork at the InterContinental, there are some great options out there. Austin’s hotels have been critically acclaimed as offering some of the finest cuisine the city has to offer. The sampling of hotel restaurants listed below have gained reputations as favorites with locals as well as travelers.
Hotel Reminders & Deadlines
As SXSW 2012 approaches we’re offering a few timely housing reminders:
If you need to change or cancel a current reservation please do so as soon as possible. (Reservations made through SXSW must be changed through SXSW.) We’re often able to accommodate waitlist requests when other registrants change dates or cancel reservations.
If you’re on a waitlist, rest assured we’re always on the lookout for opportunities to fulfill waitlist requests. We know where to find you and will do that as soon as we have news for you. No need to check the status of your request.
Waitlists are full for Interactive/Film dates (March 9-13) and we can no longer accept requests for these dates. If you don’t already have a reservation we recommend that you secure alternate accommodations in Austin.
Try a Suite Hotel at SXSW Music
An all suite hotel might be just the right fit for you during your extended stay in Austin for the Music conference and festival. With more elbow room and extra in-room amenities these options are a great value.

There are still a number of excellent hotel options available for the Music conference/festival (March 13-18) -- here are three you’ll want to consider.

What if your favorite Interactive Conference programming was just steps away from your hotel room? Now that Campus themes have been announced you might wonder if you can move your hotel reservation to the campus that hosting your primary areas of interest. Although all Interactive Campus hotels are currently sold-out consider wait listing for the hotel that hosts your areas of expertise. The Housing Desk will do their best to broker a room swap with a registrant who might be interested in moving to your hotel.
