Ti West Returns to Austin With "The Roost"
Ti West has been a familiar face at SXSW for some years now, most recently in 2011 for the world premier of his latest, The Innkeepers. However, thanks to Fantastic Fest and Austin Film Society, this weekend gives you another chance to see Ti's debut film, SXSW 2005 world premiere The Roost, This Sunday, October 2 at the Alamo South Lamar. There will also be screenings of The Innkeepers and Ti's previous film, House of the Devil
Factory 25 Releases "Joe Swanberg: Collected Films 2011" Subscription
Fans of the ever prolific SXSW veteran Joe Swanberg can check out his latest offerings as part of a lavish subscription package by NY indie outfit Factory 25. Joe Swanberg: Collected Films 2011 will be available from Fall in an edition of 1000, featuring a wealth of extras, from vinyl records, to photographic print books.A film will be delivered to subscribers on a quarterly basic, beginning with SXSW 2011's Silver Bullets, followed by includes SXSW 2011's Silver Bullets, as well as Art History, The Zone and Privacy Setting. An Evening With Kevin Smith at Austin's Paramount Theater
One week from today, SXSW alum, filmmaker, and provocateur Kevin Smith returns to Austin with a new edition of his live show. The show will be filmed for presentation on EPIX, and takes place at Austin's historic Paramount Theater on Tuesday, September 27th at 7:30pm.
"The Ballad of Genesis and Lady Jaye" Headed for Theaters in 2012
Congratulations to Marie Losier and the team behind The Ballad of Genesis and Lady Jaye; the SXSW 2011 North American Premiere is destined for theaters next year. The film will be the first release from the new indie distribution outfit Adopt Films.The Ballad of Genesis and Lady Jaye is an unconventional, formally unique love story between musician and artist Genesis Breyer P-Orridge and performance artist Lady Jaye, and a glimpse at their working methods as part of the groundbreaking pandrogyne project.

The Safdie Brothers Return to Austin: Win Tickets!
SXSW veterans, Josh & Benny Safdie return to Austin this weekend to present two special screenings at the Alamo Drafthouse Ritz. The Alamo is showing a special collection of the filmmakers' short films and hosting a special one night screening of their most recent festival favorite, Daddy Longlegs.
