The 4th annual SXSW Music Gear Expo is a unique event where manufacturers can market, promote, and connect while having the opportunity to sell guitars, keyboards, amps, drums, effects pedals,
mics, DJ equipment, apps and more.
The Expo is free and open to all 2,000+ SXSW showcasing acts, SXSW registrants and the general public, who come to try out the newest, cutting-edge gear.

The APP ANNEX will be a special section of the Expo for hands-on access to cool music creation apps: virtual guitars, keyboards, drums, mixing and DJ software and more. Ask how you can be a part of this new addition to the Expo!
Music Gear Expo StoreAre you performing at SXSW, but broke your last pair of drumsticks the night before your showcase? Did you leave an essential cable at home, or need your guitar set-up after unintentionally falling into your drummer’s kit at a day party? The Music Gear Expo Store, run by Strait Music, offers accessories including drum sticks, cables, strings, as well as a range of instruments (from Gear Expo vendors) and also instrument repair.
Music Gear Expo LoungeThe Music Gear Expo Lounge is a comfy place to unwind and relax. Be sure to swing by, utilize the free wi-fi, and enjoy our complimentary daily Happy Hour from 4:00-5:00 pm.
